I’m so glad you and the children were at Bethlehem just that short time ago. The fire HAS been devastating to us all, and I appreciate your thoughts and comments. God is with us and will remain with us as we figure out where He is leading us!

My pastor mentioned Sunday that our church building is about the same age as was Bethlehem’s. Bethlehem’s building was beautiful and full of memories, and every Sunday morning my memory still sees my grandmother sitting on her pew and I hear the singing of the saints in our church. Remember the children’s song that begins with the line, “The church is not the steeple …,” and ends with, “The church is the people?” Your blog helps put it all in perspective. Thanks.

I can relate to the sadness these people are feeling over the loss of their church building. In December of 1999 we lost our church building to a fire. Even though the new building we have is wonderful, I miss the old building and all of it’s memories. Our prayers are with the members of Bethlehem Church!
