Puerto Rico 2009: Dinner on the Beach
We arrived starving on Sunday after a hectic day of travel. By the time we got settled in our room, it was 5:00 pm. We’d only had pretzels and half a bagel to eat because of the tight flight schedule.
We walked to the beach and ate at a beachfront grill, the table and chairs on the sand. I had a chicken vegetable wrap and Frank had a burger. I ate the side of fries as if I hadn’t been suffering from IBS for months. (Fried foods are supposed to be bad.) Both Frank and I found the waves relaxing after a long day of travel. When we finished our meal, we walked down to the water and both of us remarked about how the waves were larger than we’ve experienced before.
We returned to our tenth-floor, ocean view room and opened the balcony door. The sound of the ocean will make me sleep like a baby tonight.
