No, I am not a fan. A friend of mine always wore black to non-celebrate! And did you know Waffle House takes Valentine reservations, provides decorations including candles, possibly heart-shaped waffles? Frank Sinatra helps.
Valentine’s Day is for elementary school. Every child gets a message of love from every other child in the room, and they love it! One of my fondest memories of our Valentine’s Day parties is when children would come up to me to show me the valentine that I gave them: ” Look at the one you gave me, Miss Hagler!”
So, let’s allow children to have some of the rare joys nowdays of being children. As for me, as an adult, I think the day sucks.
