I’m in the “NPR had every right to fire Juan Williams” camp. Not because NPR is trying to suppress the First Amendment right to freedom of speech, but because NPR really is fair and balanced news reporting. NPR’s employee crossed the line on being able to be fair and balanced when he said what he did. Juan has every right to say what he said. NPR has every right to decide that’s not what they want to be associated with as an organization.
