Shawn is a talented artist, musician, photographer, and illustrator in the Nashville area. She designed the cover for the forthcoming book, Living Our Beliefs. When she submitted the final files for the cover, she included in the material the painting in the picture above.
It was a thoughtful gift. Living Our Beliefs is the last Discipleship Resources book I will edit. Shawn knew that I have always admired her work, but that I especially liked this title’s cover. The gift came as a surprise and jarred me into a “pay it forward” state of mind. Shawn’s thoughtfulness reminded me that life isn’t only about “i can has grace” but it is also about “i can gives grace” as well.
