Bird Nest on Christmas Tree

I’m collecting favorite Christmas stories. Share your story and say a little about why it’s your favorite. Here’s mine:

The Man and the Birds by Paul Harvy. I didn’t learn until much later that Paul Harvy annually told this story on his radio show. It’s my favorite because I remember hearing it when I was a child during a Christmas Eve worship service. Even at a young age I understood its meaning.

The picture of the birds adds a nice touch to the story of the birds.
My favorite Christmas story used to be heard on NPR about this time of the year.
John Henry Faulk’s Christmas Story is what they called it, but they stopped playing it several years ago.

The story called Little Match Girl probably explains some of my feelings of sadness during Christmas. It’s one of the first pieces I always read from my own book of Christmas stories.
