   If the Republican bigots have their way we will be burning people at the stake within 5 years. Here in TN they are trying to end collective bargaining for teachers, make it illegal to pay our dues through check deduction (thus weakening the teacher’s union) and get rid of teacher tenure. These are just three of the new bill our new TN congress is working on. I know that is a preposition at the end of that sentence, but I am only a teacher so I don’t know any better.

   Try the State of Georgia. It isn’t much better! They have had us on Furlough for 3 solid years in the Social Services field. Trying to “privatize” Social Services. The teachers here are just as beat up. Teachers work under contract from year to year based on their outcomes. Yes, Georgia “Teaches to the test!” So our kids only learn what they will be tested on at the end of the year.
   Ridiculous!
