A video would have captured what you see in this image better: water pouring out through the roots of the tree. I stopped, fascinated, and took a dozen pictures, trying to capture the movement of the water as it sought to find its way to the creek.

I thought about how I could have easily missed it if I hadn’t been observant. I could have walked across the hill above the stream and never known there existed a hidden stream beneath me.
