(and you can too)

I’ve decided to stop drinking the little amount of coffee that I drink. I only have 16-20oz each morning, but still, I anticipate caffeine withdrawal.

Why am I doing this? It’s a small expense I don’t need to spend; I understand that it can contribute to digestive problems, which I’ve been battling off and on all summer; I’ve never really liked the taste of coffee.

So, the plan is to cut back gradually each day for a week the number of scoops I put in the grinder. I’ll provide updates in the comments.

10:27 on day one of no coffee. Yes, I decided just to go cold turkey. I had green tea with my breakfast and I’m having a second cup with my mid-morning snack. No headache so far!

2:47 Hmmm. Is that a touch of a headache I feel? Nah. I choose it not to be so.

Day 2. Green tea again with my breakfast. I’m a little fuzzy headed, but okay.

I would go easy on the green tea. I have digestive problems and green tea makes it worse, for me anyway. Good luck!!

      Thanks for the advice, Jennifer.

So far, I haven’t found a magic bullet for this. I can’t tell quitting coffee has made a difference one way or the other. A month of proabotics? Hasn’t had an affect.

I go back to the doctor on Friday.

Well, green tea DOES have caffeine in it, but quite a bit less than coffee does. Sounds like a good idea for cutting back gradually.
